I can knock them because I'm close to the situation...Lil John was a producer who screamed "OKAY!!!" over tracks...No one viewed him seriously as a rapper...He was a viewed as a production and A&R power in ATL...
Keef is viewed as real live rapper...And rather than give the same ol cop-out of "it's always been this way" I'm not going that path...
Again, Keef is not to blame...He's just a baby...
I blame the older folks in the room...
Again, even when people were coming after Ice Cube in the early 90s there was a skill to his mad-making...There was talent...There was vision...
Keef is just an untalented rhymer saying shit on the mic...And hey, that's cool...make that money...
But when it's done with cheerleading from white folks who just want to see a minstrel show at a time when the Chi is dripping in blood, I have to say something...
