Nas has his zone that Jay can't fuck with either. It goes both ways. It's the same comparison of Rakim vs. Kane. They're two totally different people. Kane was in front of the cameras while Ra was on the low. Their personalities dictate their styles. The lyricist vs the emcee...its all a matter of what you prefer (I prefer Ra to Kane, Nas to Jay but listen to them all).

I don't agree that Jay's cons outweigh Nas'. I think Nas just had to reach further to get the mainstream success. There's not a lot of lyricist that go plat every time. Matter of fact Nas is the only one.

Jay has the better production and that's his edge. They've both put out ther share of subpar material.
