113613, I disagree about his musical pallette being limited

I feel in the 80s, he's one of the few artists who's albums that still sounds fresh to an extent (I don't like to use "dated" because if it's good music, it really shouldn't matter when it was made. From The Jacksons album in '76 to even 2001's Invincible, he experimented with different sounds. He has an album of classical compositions that he did in 1979 that remains unreleased.

In terms of artistry, he may not be a "musician's musician", but the man is capable and there's no denying his talent. He may not be as "deep" as Stevie or Prince, but those 3 are on diffent planes and levels of "genius" IMO

I gained more appreciation for the production of Destiny, Off The Wall, Thriller, and Triumph when I was helping out on a book about Michael's work about a year or two ago

Good music is good music
