I think that's the biggest reason I can always listen to the Roots, and the biggest part of their game they stepped up as time went on -- ?uest became an exacting wizard on the knobs with a budget to match.

I think that's the reason Tipping Point was ... good, really listenable, but flat for a Roots release. The sound was incredible, but not flat out showing off (not to mention the fucking mistake with the goddamn pressing -- man, some great moments just feel fucked up with that hiccup between tracks) like most of their other releases end up doing.

This one, halfway through? Yeah, it's showing off for me. That's fucking beautiful. Man -- thank god I finally got my damn mom off the phone to listen to this shit.
