tariq, ahmir, and rich were sayin that management was trying to dictate the roots' every move and the roots saw no reward/profit as a result because management wasn't doing their job... so what's the point of busting your ass to do your grind and then have to jump through hoops then end up seeing nothing from it?

then aj shine (their former mgr) was telling them that the world isn't perfect and basically the only way to be rewarded for your hard work in the industry is to have your own label and that his management agency was doing all they could for the roots...and he was saying that tariq misunderstood how exactly the woman from management disrespected him... it was completely a different type of disrespect lol
