i gotta say nothing has grabbed me yet.

the rapping is solid as always

the general industrial/gloomy aesthetic is kinda bothersome.

it's frustrating to goto a live show, see y'all looking like the modern day JB's RIPPING KILLING DESTROYING 'i can understand it' and have them put out an album like this.

i don't mean to go 'stardust memories' here, but i think i just want an 'easy' uptempo 70s funk/soul inspired album.

you guys are carrying the torch and maybe the only ones capable of still putting out that type of music.

people still want to hear that

but just NO ONE MAKES IT anymore.

the talent is there to make songs like "black man", "september", "watching you", "skin i'm in", or whatever.

i could listen to tariq rhyme over that type of stuff all damn da--forever.

i appreciate the effort put into the slaving over the tedious sonics/mixes/enginerring,

but i'd rather what you guys could do with some instruments a 4-track cassette.


maybe this one will click on the way home from the store next tuesday...
