As dumb as this may sound I don't think Quincy knows what being a music producer actually entails, especially these days. Being able to compose a 60 piece woodwind symphony has as much to do with producing as rapping does. It just gives you certain tools that let you be a good producer but they aren't a requirement for the job by any means. The idea that you can't be a producer without being a classically trained composer and multi-instrumentalist is moronic. Rick Rubin is one of if not the most relevant producer in the past quarter decade and can't compose at all.
