What is West doing that's so friggin' brilliant and innovative?!?! What, I ask? How come none of his stans can answer this simple question when I ask them? Do you praise him simply because everyone else does? I need some answers! LOL.

How is he pushing hip hop forward? What new aesthetic has he established musically? Aside from proving that a nerdy, openly suburban image can be a commerically viable (and non-threatening) one in mainstream hip hop, I struggle to see what he brought BRAND NEW to the table. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't give three damns about sales. Many of my personal favorite artists sell more records than West. They also enjoy and suffer from larger levels of fame. As long as the music is good, why would I care? I may be many things but an elitist is not one.
