RIP. Barrys best stuff is just absolutely classic and will stand the test of time for generations to come. I guarantee that. When my 12 daughter asked me "who's Barry White"...I just had to remind her. She may not have recognized the artists NAME, but once i put on a few songs from his All Time Greatest Hits cd she instantly recognized his SOUND. "Ohh, he made THOSE songs!". (His "All Time Greatest Hits" collection is always one of the cds that regularly comes with us on family trips :). Barry was a pioneer in his own right...his phenomenally produced records have such power and beauty and soul hold a special place in my heart. As a kid in the 70s living in Conneticuit & Massachusetts, i grew up on this stuff...Barrys lush sounds were regularly flowing out of my folks stereo and thus his music is tied to some of my favorite care free memories. Thanks Barry.
