Jay has 'deep' songs in his catalog, AND even having said that, there's no rule in hiphop that says "you can't be considered great if you're not a 'deep' emcee". Coz otherwise we'd have to exclude Biggie, G-Rap, Kane, Big L, Pun, LL, Snoop etc etc etc

Jay's catalog is so vast that naturally he'll have some 'deep' joints on there based on the law of averages alone.
