fuckin' up the core but adding bells and whistles every year.

They finally fixed the Submission shit in SVR, took it even
further with SVR06 (by changing nearly every submission to
type A or B...though, not like DOR where ALL of them were
like that)

But the steps back...

They locked divas out of all the "special" match types
(First Blood, The Doc can live with, but some of those
others are garbage. If you're gonna make them suck, don't
put them in the game at all, ITDO)

Starting with SVR, a lot of the "non"-WWE finishers and
moves started to disappear.

Better animated moves (the old, non taunting Rock Bottom,
the non-taunting Book End, the old, non taunt, non pin
Tombstone Piledriver) were replaced with SHIT...

...yet Triple H had 3 different Pedigrees (the OG,
the Crap-i-gree he does now, and the "RVD" Pedigree).

the CAWs looked absolutely excellent in SvR06 (you can make
a damn near classic Rock) but compared to the parts/pieces
and layers allowed in Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The
Pain? PB&J. They got rid of 2 toned items for solid colors.

Hell, they need to bring back mix and match hair (like they
had in Just Bring It).

All those idiotic paisley patterns and shit are garbage.
If you wanna make some real wrestlers, you have to get a little
too creative.

And they play a little too safe trying to prevent people from
making "nude" CAWs (if you make those, you're a lame-o anyway).

>But I can tell you why...WWE WAS BETTER BACK THEN!

It was. That game had the best roster of all SmackDown games.
Goldberg, Brock, (Heel) Rock, Austin, HBK, plus a grip of ECW/WCW
dudes that just signed? Orton, Jericho, Benoit, Booker T,
Goldust, the legends... The Doc even thinks the Hurricane was
in that joint. That game was the best roster of any US-bound
wrestling game ever. All it needed was Bret Hart to make it
complete.

>Here's what they need to do:
>-work on the effing AI
>-don't rely on the WWE writing team
>-make the story makes sense

that was one thing that was messed up. Until now, they had
a way of making better storylines than WWE. Now, they're making
things as idiotic, or even more. Last year's "ECW" storyline
kicked ASS. It was better than what they had done with the
real "ECW".

Yeah, The Doc is hearing that even "heel" type wrestlers have
to go the clean route in the storylines. Were there not so
many blasted voices invested in the game, they could change
it back to the old way, where at least there were a good
number of branches of the storyline based on which route one
took.

If they took HCTP, added the gameplay innovations, nixed the
restrictions, and added the "fair" element that Day of Reckoning
had (its failure was in the 10 000 years it took for cats to
get up from moves they hit...but the game was rather balanced
otherwise)...they would have the G.O.A.T. title

every year they take the steps they need, but just omit ones
that weren't broken.
