basch: axes/spears/swords, heavy armor
ashe: staff/sword, mystic armor, all kinds of pwnz0ring magic (4 magic lores, 3 magic channels, warmage. oh, she's so sick)

and either

balthier: gun/pole, light/heavy armor, technicks

or

fran: bow, light armor, support/healing magic and technicks

balthier might get the boot because he doesn't do as much damage as fran (killer bow ftw) plus fran has more mp and is a better generalist. then again, i suppose i could just give ashe the bow since i want her to stay back and cast spells anyway
