Lightscribe is an HP technology that "labels " directly on a Lightscribe DVD. This requires require a Lightscribe drive (usually in HP desktops and notebooks). Basically you burn content on the writable side and on the label side there is a special coating that the laser can burn text and art (monochromatic) directly on the DVD. Inkjet Printable DVDs have a inkjet paper label in which you use an inkjet printer ( an Epson..the only machine I have seen that does this out there) to print directly on the DVD label.
