I just switched my broken iPod for a new one this weekend and i need a little help please.
Do i need to install the software again b/c it's not showing up on iTunes or even being recognized by my computer.
It asks me if i want to erase everything but i don't want to erase his stuff.
*edit* I plugged it into the computer and it charged and now it keeps saying Do Not Disconnect and i disconnected it :o

Next time tell Itunes to eject your iPod before you disconnect it. I've done that too and it didn't break anything though.

...i plug my friends iPods in my PC all the time and it shows up fine, u need have a word with wherever you got it from.

I just got it Friday. They just handed it to me. No box or anything. Do you think I have to use the disc that my 1st iPod came with?

go to Apple's support site and download the iPod updates.

Also, make sure iTunes is 6.0.4
