got this for awhile now but only really getting into it these past week...it's pretty safe to say that this game is on Tetris/Puzzle Fighter level

the past few nights while i'm trying to sleep, my mind just can't stop thinking about this game...i'd be envisioning myself playing, setting up combos & shit...

Meteos is good and all, but Lumines was Q Entertainment's better game last yr, and one of the best games i've ever played

too bad i still kind of suck at it, i swear i'll get 999 999 one day tho

and one of the best games ever, too.

This game really had me considering re-purchasing a PSP (my ex lost mine) just to play it. Luckily it's coming out on PS2 and another version is coming to Xbox 360 as well. PSP is getting Lumines 2 though, so I still may have to get one again if the price comes down.

The soundtrack is the shit too. I would play the game just for the music sometimes.

that damn VS CPU mode is ruthless...i can't even get past the 4th guy consistently, and the furthest i've gone is number 8, and since you can't continue, i'm *this* close to throwing my PSP against the wall

I remember watching my little brother and his ppls play that in awe. That shit looks like you have to be on a genius level. I don't see how, in the heat of battle, you can get out of having a brick cover your entire screen, than combo your way out of it.

it just seems like really limited gameplay. i guess the same is true with tetris, but game had real charm. i just dont enjoy lumines the same way.

...i got a ten chain combo a couple weeks ago. when you get to 10, it doesn't say "10 chain" like it does with lower, inferior combos. it says 'X chain'

Lumines is the shit... I can't stop playing that game... although it is hard as hell...

Made it to Lights (i.e. the last skin) in my first session with a score of just under 500000, good to know that my skills weren't lost over the years. A bit annoying though as that last song just ended abruptly, but you unlock endless mode afterwards.

I was going to get it for the Switch, but ended up getting the PS4 version, since there's a free bundle with 20 tracks, a theme and some avatars. Might still get it on the Switch at some point for the portability factor though.

I'm still confident calling this the best puzzle game ever after all these years.

I got some extra fun money from Switch digital purchases so I'll buy it there for $9.
