Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak doesn't give too many interviews, but when he does, he doesn't pull his punches. In a recent conversation with Stanford University's Cardinal Inquirer, Woz launched into a tirade against the record industry for refusing to acknowledge how technology has change their industry: "Unfortunately, sometimes the technology comes about that makes it a lot cheaper to distribute what you have than before ... so I think songs and CDs should be a lot cheaper, in the end, on the Internet. But the record companies see it as less revenue, so they fight." He also offered a surprisingly harsh critique of the company he helped found: "ig companies, Microsoft, Apple and AOL, they tend to turn out the crappiest products, you know, software-wise. ... I get the worst, worst software almost always from Apple." However, Woz also pointed out that he still only uses Macs, and added: "I love every part of the Apple world." Guess he's into tough love.
