Reviews seem to suggest you shouldn't expect the twists and turns of 13 Sentinels, in fact it's pretty generic overall. Playing the demo I really enjoyed the writing, though, which can carry generic far. Interestingly there's some weird micro-controversy over the writing of this game because apparently it's far more direct in the original Japanese whereas the English is pretty flowery, but...if the translator wants to make the writing more interesting in a non-superfluous way, why hate that? Japanophiles strike again, I guess.


I might have to wait for a slight discount just because I know there's a chance the tactics aspect gets a bit above my pay grade since FF Tactics is really all I've ever stuck with to the end, but the demo is super fun and anybody on the fence should at least give that a shot, it's a full figured five hours with no guard rails. Super generous.
