Yep, I think its NG+. I might mess with that a little bit once I do the fire realm and as many Valkyries as I can make it through. At the rate I'm going, I think I'll get all 8 Valkyries (as long as I don't give up on 'climbing the mountain' of the fire realm. And then its just a matter if I can take out the queen.
