I forget the month last year when it was free, but I downloaded and played about 10 or so hours on the PS4. I was frustrated both because of the difficulty and because the game would freeze up or have stuttered frames in some portions.

You post made me given this another shot on the PS5. I was able to figure out how to download Playstation Plus games I previously on my PS4 onto my PS5. The game played a lot smoother on the PS5 for sure and I actually managed to beat the game despite how hard it got towards the end.
