Capcom Cup 2016 ends tonight, Akuma's been announced, and the other thread got damn near 700 posts. Let's start fresh.

Akuma's V-Skill is a parry that can be followed up with two different strikes (one looks like a launcher).

V-Trigger gives him "Shin Akuma" buffs to his fireballs (full screen, double air fireballs, and the ability to throw them while jumping back) and a follow up for his dragon punch.

Critical Art is reminiscent of his 3rd Strike palm super. He gets access to Raging Demon in V-Trigger.

The "2017 Character Pass" includes Akuma and "5 brand new fighters" (they've been emphasizing the "brand new" too. We might not get returning characters this year, which I'm down with).

Release date is December 20th. $30 for the full pass. The pass comes with premium costumes for the new characters (colors included) and a new theme for PS4 (not that anybody cares). Akuma is also getting a Nostalgia costume. It looks like regla ass Akuma.

The Holiday, Rocksteady Ryu, and Chunnie from the Block also drop on the 20th.
