From what I was able to gather, there's some touchpad related stuff in the training mode so the Madcatz may end up being the better option.

Markman was in the GAF thread saying if you ordered directly from them you'll get it in time for the game, so I ordered an extra pad from there too. They also have free ground shipping and no tax for me as opposed to Amazon so I may just cancel my Amazon order or even just say fuck it and have two.
