From what I've played, Bison's medium punch is better than anything in Ryu's arsenal.
The only advantage he really has is on wake up, since DP can really punish people who go in for overheads (Bison kind just has to block correctly).
I get matches every five minutes or so. It seems like most of them are in or around my city judging from the PSN IDs having a bunch of really local slang (ie JawnBolMan215 or shit like that. lol.)
