294616, I just never found that crew, or wanted to enjoy Destiny that way

I've tried a couple times and it's been fun playing with groups, especially in the early going when real life friends were playing and we were figuring out strikes together. But they all fell off after finishing the 'story' missions and I just couldn't get invested in wearing a headset every time I wanted to do new content in the game. So Destiny even at the heights of my various addiction periods with it has been a podcast game, something to do while I'm listening to other stuff.

And even in that scenario it's been fantastic, but a couple weeks ago I got my Warlock up to level 29 and have my Hunter near that as well, and I think their gear can get them to level 30 if I ever get enough armor materials (I realize now how vital the loot cave really was for end game stuff, my Titan will NEVER hurt for armor materials, ever) but I'm no longer pining for Crota's End and I appreciate the Vision of Confluence from Vault of Glass but it hasn't been a game changer (in fact I've finally been using Bad JuJu a lot and really enjoying it, probably more so once the Pulse Rifles get yet ANOTHER buff in an upcoming patch) since I've never entered the Vault again.

But even playing Destiny almost the exact opposite of how it wants to be played - alone, on mute, doing the simplest bounties for all three characters, never in PVP, never doing the weekly heroic or nightfall strikes - I'm having a blast, and I have NEVER really been in love with FPS besides the Nintendo 64 Rareware games. It just feels better than any other game I've played perhaps ever, everything is just so damn right, tight and feel good.
