289807, Giant Bombcast fans...we've gone crazy. Posted by Nodima, Thu Apr-03-14 10:40 AM
So Jeff Gerstmann has been regularly streaming his drives to and from work (many of them with Dave Snider in tow) for nearly a year now on Mixlr, and it's created a bit of a weird sub community of programmers, site obsessives and folks who just leave the tab open all day ready for the next stream like me. Some weird ideas come up, most of them chalked up to whiskey and weed.
But now there's the Bombcast Rewind: http://mixlr.com/bombcast-rewind/
24 hours a day, seven days a week, this channel is playing the entire archive of Bombcasts from front to back, and then it'll start again, and then it'll start again, and then it'll start again.
Tell your bosses we're sorry.

289814, I've only missed maybe a month's worth of the beginning. Posted by JFrost1117, Thu Apr-03-14 02:10 PM
I worked in my company's QA dept, and I listened to almost every GBC available at the time. I'm hella backed up on podcasts right now, though.

289815, I've been on and off with the Bombcast since Patrick left and Ryan died. Posted by IkeMoses, Thu Apr-03-14 02:56 PM
I love the rest of the crew, but those two voices missing kinda messed up the dynamic for me a little.

289817, it was a lil' hard at first but there were some awesome nostalgia fests Posted by Nodima, Thu Apr-03-14 03:14 PM
The first few episodes back that were hardly about games at all, just Transformers and G.I. Joe mythology among other things.
Lately there've been some pretty good ones with Jeff Green and Brad Muir filling in for Jeff and Brad and Dave Lang sitting in for an entire podcast spilling insider beans.
I think they've found a good rhythm now even though Drew sticks to the background most of the time and Jeff is way more willing to let things go off the rails than Ryan ever was (their recent GDC live stream as the ultimate proof).
Jeff and Brad have been my dudes forever so I can't miss it but it's definitely a way different podcast.
