I'm setting up a server farm now that I'm seeing a profit using my current system.
I need to make enough to offset electricity costs tho.
A $4500 investment can net you $9000 a month return based on today's exchange rate.

no point in mining it...the hardware is too expensive and the price moves way too much for my taste...
one of my co-workers have been doing it though...it takes alot for him to get one coin now...he's has around 90 of them...i told him to sell half of them at 1150 last week to recoup his costs...he's invested close to 50K in it when you include hardware and the $500 a month electric bill...he hasnt sold any yet...

he admitted he made mistakes...but he took the 300 when it wasn't worth as much to buy more hardware and overpaid for the hardware...that's where his main error occurred...

Blockchain difficulty is pretty crazy right now.
I just used my gaming rig and got on the economy electricity plan.
I'm switching to LiteCoin tho.
I'll make more using the hardware I have eventually.
Thinking about using my work computer on evenings and weekends for this.

He's still working on laying the data lines on his private island.
I'll take my L on this. I got interested when it was at $100, thought about buying and mining (and even had multiple research-grade GPU's for the job). But it sounded like a hassle, and silly, so I never got around to it.
It WILL collapse, though, and probably soon. I'll hop on the train for the next bubble.

I had a litecoin rig secretly set up in a server closet at work. I was remoting in.
Somebody on the network team took it. I was able to get access to it again but cashed out soon as I got back in to my wallet.
