Yoshida said it was been a small percentage (based on online accounts, about 8 out of 4,000 systems (I believe that was the pre-release distribution number), or .2%. You'd HOPE that figure stays constant if not drops considerably when these systems hit the wild.
But between the subtle wobble effect when the system lies horizontal (http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/another-playstation-4-unboxing/2300-8209/ near the end) and these loose HDMI ports it's a bit disconcerting such a good hardware company is letting some very odd flaws slip through the cracks on this machine.
