I think that is more like what you would need. My line of thought overall is -- do you want a 3D workstation that can do some gaming, or a gaming rig that can do a little bit of 3D work?

Did you look at the benchmark table? The numbers are pretty staggering in favor of the Quadro. And you can look up youtube vids of Quadro cards running 3D games, they do ok.

I can't speak on individual Quadro cards, honestly, but I will bet that a $400 Quadro will do worlds better 3D work than a $400 gaming card. I use a Quadro 5000 here at work and it works well, but I don't have anything else to compare to.

Please don't make a purchase based on my thoughts, though...just use this discussion to do some research and find out what you need.
