283929, i'm not sure that gfx card is designed for video editing Posted by bearfield, Sat Jun-15-13 12:02 PM
maybe you should look at the "professional graphics cards" on newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Professional-Graphics-Cards/SubCategory/ID-449. apparently there is some difference. i know "professional" graphics cards aren't ideal for gaming and i think the converse holds true as well
that psu seems like it's a bit underpowered. i would go for 450W minimum
everything else looks like it's ok. generally speaking you want to spend the most money on the most important parts of your build: gfx card, processor, and mobo. spend as much as you can on those and skimp on everything else. the case doesn't really matter too much. i have a $30 case (on sale + rebate) that is whisper quiet. ram is dirt cheap; you can probably skate by with 8GB now and pick up the other 8 later (unless it's crucial for editing )
