My point though was that the whole purpose of the Xbox is to integrate with the living room, in both form and function. Not sure what PS4 is gonna look like, but I'm guessing the days of "console-ization" are pretty much over. No fancy shapes, no weird domes, nothing way out in left field to differentiate itself from the rest of the devices attached to your TV.

Gamers are getting older, and I'm thinking that the design is being streamlined to represent those maturing tastes.
