Microsoft's initial push for online gaming was a massive success as we've seen with Xbox Live.

Sony realized this, and just jumped in guns blazing in terms of embracing the cloud and all its possibilities. If Microsoft doesn't come close to matching this then I'm getting the PS4 for sure, small controller be damned.

Edit: If you're skeptical about the cloud, just imagine this scenario: Playing Dead Space with two other friends, all of you are playing/watching the same game, and you can trade off who's playing every chapter. Or switch over to a better player for bosses. Or have someone who's just giving a running play by play while the other two are switching off.

Basically, cloud gaming adds a social element to single player games. Devs won't have to shoehorn in multiplayer modes just to appeal to a bigger crowd that won't sell their games to Gamestop. They can focus on making great single player games because you can share that experience with your friends.
