We can't even consistently get games at 1080p at 60 frames for either system. Trust me, they have been maxed.

The graphical leap won't be HUGE this gen, but it will be substantial and noticeable now that everyone's gone high def. Plus with everyone still upgrading tube televisions & getting used to the new tech (tablets! smartphones! Hulu!) ive got a sneaking suspicion that if they make the systems look cool enough they will break records this Holiday season...the fetish for owning new tech the second it comes out is spreading.

Now after the nerds/spoiled teens like us buy up the first few initial shipments the question is how long will it take the rest of the mainstream to upgrade...it felt like it took a long time for everyone to put their PS2's away and finally upgrade.
