>I used to sit on the sidelines and laugh...LAUGH at these >Madden fan boys buying the football game year after year, >claiming "this year it's going to be different!" I used to >laugh at the gullible attitude, pity them even. "Why are >these fools wasting their money every year on what's simply a >roster update?" "How does EA convince fools to cough up $60+ >from millions of people?" > >All in the same breath, sitting on top of my speaker were >cases for... >NBA 2K8, 2K9, 2K10 & 2K12.
I have everyone 2k made. Starting with the original on Dreamcast. They are all sitting on my bookshelf, probably never to be played again.
>And in a couple weeks, I think NBA 2K13 will be sitting right >next to them. It's only now I realize I've become what I've >hated: a sports video game junkie. I'm not sure if it's the >allure of the upcoming season that gets me or being afraid of >missing out on the ONE time 2K gets it all right. But >something pulls at me every time the game release draws near. > >And that's the thing, they'll never git it RIGHT right. How >could they? No other genre of video game puts out a game >every year, how could they really get everything right? >Honestly if you think about it the promotion and marketing of >this game is holding them back from working on 2K14. I bet in >a month they'll be working on the next installment for October >2013. > >If there's an excuse in my bag, it's that I've been looking >for a replacement for NCAA College Hoops 2K8 (yes, a game >that's 5 years old). I still play it. But I need a major >major upgrade. > >So, who else is joining me?
2k bball has always been a first day cop for me. Even though what I'm reading and seeing irritates me, 2k13 will be in my XBOX on release date. My mind slips me but I was having this same convo with someone the other day, I think it was Nina Mo on G+ (she falls for it every year as well).
