it's such a hustle...most sysdamins do nothing because they have a kick ass configurations and over document things.

As the project manager for the team I generally spend the majority of the time assigning tasks to the admins and devs, and spending all day on conference calls. But the freedom I have is a real blessing.

and I just have to say -- I'm hyping BF3 on here mainly because I played the demo of BF:BC2 and decided not to get the game based on it. eventually I burned out on MW2 and had some friends online w/ it, though, so I decided to cop in a slow month and never looked back.

I just want to make sure anyone quitting the game understands everything that's under the hood before they quit, because it took learning all that shit for me to fall in love.

in that whole BF3 vs MW3 deal. It's gotten really silly. Play one or play both and keep it moving imo.

I don't really care, personally. I have friends that play one or the other, and some that do both.

I just find it hilarious that the BF detractors love to point out the "dull" aspects of BF like repairing and health, despite that actually being a very tiny fraction of the game.

outside of maybe one or two COD hard people, I haven't seen many folk downing or clowning BF3. I see more BF3 people getting mad and telling people to go back to their unrealistic MW and whatnot. On ign, all the writer said was that BF3 didn't look much better than Bad Company 2. And the shit hit the fan. Dudes got pissed off. But that's after all the talk that BF3 isn't all about the graphics, it's the gameplay. So it all doesn't make sense for BF people to get mad at someone for saying the game isn't as spectacular looking on consoles. I mean almost every review has captured that same opinion so I don't get the big deal.

People should love what they love without caring what someone else thinks, but it seems like a lot of the BF3 cats want some validation for some reason when no one is really dissing the game. Most cats are poking fun at the reactions that come from the die hard BF3 people.

The real diehard BF heads are oftentimes the ones that have been playing the franchise since forever on PC. And COD always gets shit being a market leader... look at Apple/Nintendo/Sony, whatever.

It's confirmation bias. Everyone needs to affirm the worth of whatever they put their hard-earned dollars into. It's a natural phenomenon and the internet and the various tech wars have just put it in the forefront.

Great game. I'm a gamer. I buy games if it's fun it's fun. When it stops being fun it gets shelved and then sold.

Im thinking I can be in prone while aiming down a sight and turning at the same time. Nope. I'm thinking I can run while reloading. Nope. The running is a lot slower than mw2.

I have played Pure mode(no attachments, perks, kill streaks, or equipment) for about 9 months now. Just you, your gun, and your balls. It really weeds out all the players that really on equipment to get kills. So first thing I do in MW3 is check if they made a pure mode, yep but you dont unlock it until level 20...FUCK! A few of us played for 3 hours or so and I was frustrated as shit until about the last hour. Way to much bullshit. UAV's in the air every minute, choppers, and what ever other nonsense they put in the air flying around. Then you got that muthafuckin johnny 5 machine of death driving around the map killing you. Shit is a headache and I cant wait to rank up 2 more level and get in on pure.

With that said this shit is a BEAST!!!! Hit detection is fantastic. Not that bullshit Black Ops gave us. The maps are ridiculous. They definitely stepped that up from MW2 and BO's. The spawning is kind of fucked right now. I was getting spawned in front of bullets way to many times. Or directly in the fire of shit that was in the air. I would say the machines are killing me more than the people are. Graphics are clean, the sound has improved so much. The movements are so fluid.

Cant wait to play a little more.

dive into it. Upon further play, It looks like a more refined mw2 but plays more like cod4 which is great. I'm just ready to unlock pure mode. All of the maps are very tight nit, not too much open area. And finally, finally, a model of the mp5 that looks good.

the pure mode on here is garbage. It only takes off kill streaks. Attachments and perks still work. Also it rotates between TDM, Kill Confirmed, and Domination. I only want TDM.

Why teh fuck would they still let you stack kill streaks like that? I liked how in Black Ops you had to get the kills for them to count on your kill streak. I got AC-130's in 3 games in a row. Shit is to easy.

i don't mind support not resetting since it gives you incentive to cap flags and use stingers. it's only fair since assault stacks. they should have bumped the #'s up though.

assault should not have uav's. that's gotta be removed. if you use hardline, get 12 kills but die after every two that's 6 uav's. that's on top of the support uav's. i spend half the game w/a stinger pointed to the sky.

and assault should be kills only. w/hardline in dom i cap 2 flags, get a kill, shoot a uav, and get a predator missle. i got 5 attack helicopters in one game like that.

they need treyarch to quality control every infinity ward game. IW goes over the top w/bullshit. they took two steps forward/two back on this game. tdm ain't bad but objective games are constant air support and drones.

IW has the mechanics down. Their games feel so much more smooth. When you are looking down your sights and surveying for targets it doesnt feel slow or like you are underwater. Every thing feels natural. They have great ideas as well. I mean they were behind COD4. Treyarch is good at keeping the BS to a minimal. Patches came out fast and regularly. Got rid of stacking kill streaks. Barebones. Bigger maps. I actually liked the interface better on black ops.

If Treyarch had gotten that down Black Ops would have been the best in the series. Definitely had the best maps imo.

they're too claustrophobic. i want open maps like afghan, jungle, or hazard.

It just had the worst shooting mechanics.

These maps in MW3 are dope too, but I liked the open ended levels a lot in Black Ops. I just couldn't stand how Black Ops had wack hit detection.

Domination is basically get control of an area and camp to protect it. Shit is boring to me.

going to play through the campaign this weekend and likely throw some deuces at it, maybe finally get FIFA12 or something. half the maps are horribly unbalanced and small, the hit detection is actually god awful and some of the guns are really unfair. Add to that the servers are total shit (MEMORY OVERFLOW kicks like hell last night) and the game favors either hardcore campers or run & gunners and I'm just not feeling it. Maybe I'm over this genre, but the pace and space of Black Ops is starting to make me homesick.

my nigga Rjcc called the Uncharted series on-rail shooters already, meanwhile this is the hand holdingest campaign you'll play all year.

but that's what makes it stupid fun.

it's fucking stupid, but it's fucking fun.

you never get lost or stuck, and on normal the firefights keep you awake without making you frustrated. really, you can run past most enemies to the next check point. and it all leads to some blockbuster explosion or chase sequence.

the ending gets all God of War with the QTE, but it goes hard and doesn't feel too out of place.

the narrative is a mess, as usual. each chapter rotates between a handful of settings and characters, all of which are connected by a jumbled montage of surveillance footage and voice over briefings. obviously, none of this qualifies as character development, so when your avatar or NPC dies heroically, it's hard to give too much of a fuck. this is about as impersonal as World War gets.

cut scenes between chapters could have given the story some weight, but it still would have been unruly constantly switching between characters and settings. also, it would have slowed the pace down and made more people skip the single player altogether.

it's an experience and worth playing, though. especially since it takes less than 6 hours to complete.

they are not making them like the used to.

i add 2 attachments rapid fire and deeper penetration shit is BEASTLY. But I have noticed from really long ranges its not that powerful. Like shooting snipers from across the maps I have been getting like 4 and 5 hit markers.

But on long range I am getting 5 or 6 hit markers on dudes and not getting kills. Shit is frustrating. I take pride in my ability to take out snipers from sniper distance with assault rifles.

it's horrible, especially on Mission, the one with the helicopter, NYC and Seaport.

every map sucks. there's never one that i want to vote for.

in BO most of the shooting took place in 3-4 spots and the rest of the map was safe, empty spaces that were for transitioning to the action. on array you knew that round building, the hill next to it w/the jeep, the sniper tower, etc. even small maps like firing range and summit had well defined spots. on mw2 afghan had the sniper cliff, plane, the bunkers, and the cave. the mw3 maps don't have "landmarks." on seatown everyone just camps that 2 story building in the top corner. IW said they wanted to get rid of "power positions" on mw3's map and they did. problem is no one knows where to go so i'm getting into gunfights or finding campers in random places.

shit BO was like that for a month at least. Since the maps are getting bigger the camping gets worse. Eventually it will go back to normal.

...im doing a lot better since getting used to the layouts and knowing where to avoid and where i can go to surprise and take out snipers and general campers

once every one settles in and you learn where on the map the battles take place. 90% of the maps have those hot spots. Sure there are the rare 1 or 2 maps that are so balanced that action happens every where (nuketown, firing range) But learn where the hot spots are. Right now they arent really there because every one is still getting used to the maps.

shot at or have to look 6 different ways....they need more open maps, way too many narrow alley ways. that dome map is the worst.

but prepare to have a ugly ratio. i usually go 25-20. i got a lot of the hot spots down but they feel repetitive.

in carbon, there's always a battle up the right side of the map (from the bottom) with dudes trying to get up the hill and dude's lookin out from that container joint. that feels the same as the mission where u try to get up the right side of the map where the church is at and dudes tryna snipe u from the church

they need to open the maps up. i miss black ops maps but the guns are just too butter to stop playing

The more I play I see it's quicker to rank up but where they got you at is it actually takes a bit more thought into the way you play. Your moves have to be more calculated, like u can't just run around like an idiot or u can't camp too long either (the map designs). U kinda have to do both in a sense but with caution

Nothing wrong with camping, but the game offers no counters to these things, and the maps are a complete and uter joke. Online is basically for quick giggles, and to play with your little kids after you were forced to play dance Central or that other cornball shit yall play.

Tiny and cramped. My KDR is over 1 but I'm not loving this game. On a lot of these maps they spawn you right int enemies. In more matches than I can count I've spawned literally on top of guys. Sometimes I've benefited and sometimes I haven't. Pains me to think these guys have gone the Madden route.

There are too many places to hide. Yeah you could camp in Black Ops, but most of the maps were so open you knew where anyone could possibly camp. But in MW3, every turn is a limited sight view. These maps are a camper's dream and it's annoying. I'm getting over it but the maps are not as good as Black Ops imo. MW3 with Black Ops maps would be a dream come true.

like the village map. All the trash and tall grass makes it easy to blend in with the surroundings. Or Downturn with the huge holes in the street. The rubble is easy to blend in with.

My biggest issue with the maps are the choke points and to many 2nd floors. Carbon and Dome are set up horribly. To get from one side of the map to the other you have to go through a small and tight choke point. Each map only has like 4 ways to get from one side to the other. So someone is always camping those points. Then you have great maps like that London map or Seatown where there are 398294829492 2nd floor windows to shoot out of. Making the entire ground level a kill zone. Irritating as hell.

...once you know the maps better, you won't get caught by campers so much anymore ...i don't even see that many "campers" ..i see lots of people running and gunning with the normal amount of sniper/campers

I own both and honestly I have way more call of duty games than battlefield but I feel like Battlefield 3 wins the multiplayer game over MW3

I do enjoy the story mode and as much as I enjoyed BF3 campaign I enjoyed MW3 a tad bit more. I'll still play MW3 because I have a lot of friends that play it and I want to hit level 80 doubt I'll prestige though but if I had to pick only one to play online it would be BF3

But I've been playing the PS3 version the most lately cuz I can't seem to connect to a match in 360. Very weird. On 360 if I'm not in a party with a friend, it takes FOREVER to get into a match. Reminds me of how Gears of War 2 was. Anyone else have that issue? On PS3 tho, I connect to match in like less than 5 seconds. So because of that, I've been playing the PS3 version the most.

I am mad inconsistent though. Like Friday night I was in beast mode. Dropping 30s and high 20's all night. Then Saturday I was going +1 and +2 all night. Played again last night and was in the high teens and low 20's. I figure a few more weeks before I am back at 20+ every game.

On the connection issues I have no problems at all connecting.

but I'm inching closer and closer back into the black. I think my issue was I was trying to play this at the same pace I played MW2, plus I needed to unlock some equipment and get comfortable with certain guns. I think I'm good now and from here on out I should be able to be pretty solid.

One thing I fuckin hate about this game though, is the wack-ass spawning. The stay spawning me right in the middle of some drama.

I skipped Black Ops but I think at my best point I was around 1.5 in MW2.

It's been frustrating not jumping right into MW3 and being positive every time but I keep reminding myself I didn't consistently go positive in MW2 until after a few weeks of playing.

My best game so far was 33-8, which is actually unusual for me since I tend to max out in the mid-teens (14-8 is more typical).

COD4 had the m16. The very first gun you get was the best hands down. I remember when I got a hold of it on the beta. I never let that shit go. People didn't figure it out until the end of the games run.

one of my favorite things to do is pick off snipers from sniping distance with my tri burst. With the Type 95 sometimes I am getting 5 and 6 hit markers with out a kill. The Famas was 2 bursts, 3 max/

but I found the rapid fire and deeper bullet penetration is the best combo. But the iron sights on that gun suck. They block to much of your vision. So I roll with rapid fire and the red dot.

I don't know what it is. It's like the count to 99% gets so slow that I never connect to matches so it ends up creating a match for me and then I wait and wait for people to join. After 2 minutes, maybe 4 will join. If not it keeps sitting and sitting. I don't know what the deal is. When I go to multiplayer on PS3 it connects instantly. No issue at all though on Black Ops. This is frustrating.

its about as close to a "battlefield" esque game as ur gonna get, rewards teamwork ..dominate locations rather than k/d... plus the hardcore aspect means ur not dumping ur whole clip.

And yeah playing with the SPAS had me mad as shit. I aint never had to shoot a muphucka with hit boxes more than twice with the SPAS ever, no matter what the distance. Thats some bullshit....lol

my K/D has improved dramatically. I was assist king in regular modes but here I am much closer to averaging out at 1. My run n gun style though still puts me out there.

i've had some really good matches and some REALLY bad ones recently...switched to tactical button layout and it's really hard adjusting

only a handful of us are +1. not that kd is that important i'm just curious as to what everyone is struggling with. a few basic changes can usually improve your game. you might be using the wrong guns and perks or run and gun when you need to play defensively.

On PS3 I connect with no issues and my K/D is steadily rising.

feeling sorry for myself until recently. I think the struggle was with finding my guns. After that I was good to go. Plus my whole style of play changed with the game. In MW2 I was using more sub machine guns and shot guns. This time around I'm much more comfortable at long range and that's where I'm finding my comfort zone at.

plus I was playing to capture headquarters and domination points. I think I am going to try and change up my style some. just prestiged and brought the mp7 along. Hardcore also seems to help my K/d. I was just in a game with u and lach for a few matches. seen u kickin it by the forklift in dome. I just don't have the patience to lock down a spot too long.

so i try to lock down a section if run and gun fails. i hate that map.

i am calling in MAD kill streaks these days. Hardline Pro is a beast. plus I switched from my normal line up of predator missile, chopper, and AC130. I now roll UAV, predator, chopper. I call in easily like 6+ UAV's a game. I mean shit a UAV only takes 2 kills with Hardline. Even on bad games I can call in 3 or 4 of those. On good games I am calling in 3 and 4 predators and choppers.

..2 assists = a kill towards your streak ..im always tossing flash bangs into the action, so im getting about 5 assists a game

I swear I don't know how anyone can play this game or any shooter without it. I have that volume cranked up shaking the house and listening intently.

because I game when the wife and boy are sleeping and living in a small apartment they can hear everything. I was doing really good still. But around the end of September wifey bought me the turtle beach headset and WOW! It was like playing the game for the very first time. I amazed just at the sound of foot steps and how they vary depending on the floor. But it took me like 2 weeks to get used to them because I was getting bad headaches cuz I wasn't used to all that sound. Sensory overload. But yeah it makes a huge difference in the gaming experience. I don't think my score has improved. But I do enjoy playing that much more now.

I unlocked the Type95 with one of my prestige tokens. I mastered the damn thing by level 45 or so. So I figured I need another gun so I can collect them bonuses and move through the last half of them ranks. But DAMN I am putting dudes down with this thing. At long range it is a muthafucka. My only complaint is it is HORRIBLE from the hip, close range, and against groups. Against the multiple enemies its tough just because you dont have the volume of bullets a tri burst or auto have. So I keep the Type95 class ready for those maps and the MK14 for everything else.

Anyways, I typically don't use it just because there are other attachments I prefer but even when I get blasted by it I'm not EXTRA mad that it was by the grenade launcher (the way you and most players react to the noobtube is me with snipers.....I become completely irrational). The common claim is it takes no skill to use it. I mean, you still have to time it right, account for trajectory, aim, etc. It's not like if you shoot a grenade it's a guaranteed kill.

I ran with it for maybe a week on MW2 and got pretty good with it but it also really cheapened the game because you are just using that screen to dictate everything you do. They created a perk to make it redundant, which for me means they should just do away with it.

When I HAVE had it on (like right after prestiging) I mostly use it to finish off guys if I got a few shots in and they duck into a corner. Otherwise it doesn't seem to lead to kills on its own even when I plant it right at their feet.

also I know that aint on TDM. Thats probably on domination. Because yes you do have a high K/D. But on Black Ops your points per minute is super low. In TDM you games are looking more like 10-2 or 6-1. then one game out the night 24-3.

Also I noticed you running with Assault the WHOLE time. Not support like you said. Whats even funnier is the equipment you roll with. You have a claymore and portable radar with every class. Okay killstreaks are cool and all but whats the point of having them in objective based games?

I was playing kill confirm with a couple of my peeps I used to play with on bops, when niggas on the other team were just camped out sniping. Now if the objective is to collect the dog tags to confirm your kill, why the fuck are you laying in a corner on the whole other side of the map sniping? Muphuckas only care about reaching their killstreak no matter what fucking game you play. And I refuse to play search and destroy again, that shit is just some other bullshit.

you have other team members picking up your kills. It can be an effective strategy on interchange, mission and a couple other maps. I am already getting bored with these maps though.

...if you got guys on your side sniping its such a waste because most those kills are going to get denied by the enemy ...i get pissed when i see some moron sniping alone ..even more pissed when i see guys killing and not picking up the gold tags

...like you send the stealth bomber and kill enemies on a large area of the map .. just make sure you have a teammate close by to pick up all the tags ..i always look out for friendly predator missiles and sprint to the damage to pick up the tags of the enemy dead

at least on PSN, there is almost no camping in hardcore. People use sniper rifles to run n' gun, which can be a bitch, but there isn't really any incentive to camp without the stupid ass killstreaks. The few times I've seen camping, it gets called and fragged quickly.

playing hardcore pure as much as I have, and the amount that domination games roll around, my k/d ratios suck horribly in those games but I always finish with over 3000+ points. I don't get guys that play for kills on domination; that's not the point of the game. If you are playing right and not camping out on a flag, you should be getting your ass shot up. A lot.

play more cautious, check the mini map often, and don't sprint around corners. go into each game trying to break even. once you get some 10-10 scores go for 12-8, then 14-6. it's not that tough.

i've gotten some 20+ gun streaks with specialist. you can stay in the action. assualt you gotta waste time trying to find a safe spot to call killstreaks in.

it's more of a challenge but once you get the 8 points needed to unlock all the perks you're damn near unstoppable.every time i hit a streak of 18 or higher i never had it stopped by a death. the time just ran out.

also, the mp7 is a problem.no recoil at all.

The maps in Treyarch's joints are just damn near flawless imo. Loved them. These IW maps are just too cramped

11/12 is the rumored date. i hope it's that soon because mw3 is step backwards. once i call in my 1st nuke i'm going to play some black ops.

IW has the mechanics and physics of the game down.IW also has the better graphics and sound. While treyarch makes the right decisions to keep the game free of cheap game play. Also they know how to patch shit right away. TA takes forever on patches and blames Microsoft for it.

the mw2 IW no longer exists. most of the staff left when activision fired the top dogs. the people there now didn't really have to do much. they already had the game engine. the things they had to develop on their own (maps, spawns, etc) aren't very impressive.

treyarch just has to tweak their engine. they listen to criticism so i'm sure they can improve the technical side. they're already taking suggestions on twitter about improving ghost, new perks, and killstreaks.

If the maps were more like Black Ops it would eliminate a lot of that and at the same time clearly point out the camping.

in a game type that you have to camp? I mean once you have 2 areas secured. Any decent player knows to not go after the 3rd. Leave shit open so you can control their spawn point. So how do you guard your areas? By camping.

yall know the nuke is in mw3 right? it's called a MOAB (kills all enemies but doesn't end the game). you can't equip it. you gotta go on a 25 gun streak to get it. specialist makes it 24 with hardline. i've been close about 8 times, only 1-5 kills away. i'm playing on fallen and beasting. i know i'm close and the game's about to end so i start rushing the enemy. i'm 1 kill away and...

i run up on two enemies kill one and die but i got the MOAB. problem is there's 37 seconds left in the game, 34 for the emp, and like the nuke there's a 10 second timer on the MOAB.

that shit ain't easy to get and when i finally come through it's a fail. fuck that support class.

...do you get credit for all the kills or just the ones that led to the game being done?

MOAB's don't end the game. it only kills enemies that are alive when the timer hits 0. you might only get 3 kills. the 3 kills would count on your score.

and how the support juggernaut better than the assault? That riot shield makes a big damn difference.

But I run specialist a lot and I always die when I get 20 kills by some asshole that respawns behind me.

emp should be 18.

yeah, these maps are camper heaven. too many corners and clutter. there's nothing you can do about that but the lag makes the game unplayable at times. i'm getting the drop on people but die. i see someone and die instantly before i can even start shooting. in the killcam they see me 2 seconds before i see them. i'm just standing there doing nothing. i gotta play extra cautious which throws my whole game off.

no one votes because they suck. i never got tired of playing firing range, summit, or 75% of BO's maps. mw3's replay value is almost dead. adding new maps won't remove the bad ones.

It's the only map I like in the whole game.

I jumped on and had nobody to party up with. I jumped into TDM alone. First 2 games weren't bad warm ups. Something like 15 and 8 for both. Give or take a few. After the 2nd game these 2 n00bs from the same clan start talking shit. Talking bout I was camping and I sucked. Both of these guys had K/D's under 1. So I fire back like I normally do. They bounce. So I play another game. Then one of them sends me a message going on with how much I suck. So I'm like fuck it. Let me go embarrass this cat again. So I joined their open game which was just about over. I noticed they were now in a full party with their clan mates. I check the lobby leaderboard and none of them are over 1 in K/D. Shit the highest guy was like .89. I start in on them and them 2 are still talking shit. First game we lost. I went like 16-16 2nd place on my team had 4 kills. They are all talking now in the lobby. Second game I go 18-15, which I had to pull out of my ass. I was negative until the last minute when I landed a 6 kill streak. We lose again and again second place on my team is under 10 kills. I should have left then. But nah I start talking more shit. Thinking I cant lose to these cats again. Third game I go 20-12 second place on my team under 10. They win again. I took my gun and went home. I can only imagine what kind of shit is in my inbox right now. *smh* fucking n00bs.

...piazza is one of the strangest maps ive ever played ...so many turns and entryways that it takes away from the fun ...definitely a map to user dead silence

The park seemed like it could be cool but I was getting fucked up on that one. That other one with all the stairs and pathways is just confusing right now also. They both seem like it will take a minute to learn.

one game I am pretty sure there was only one person that was not a sniper. I don't have the patience to camp out like that and end up getting lit up.

...and i kind of liked it, lol ..went sniper all night, even had a few of those quick scope kills that i always see cats doing ...feel like a whole different game running as a sniper though

it is nice when you get a quickscope. I don't snipe often though and definately have to find my spots to campout.

I like Piazza tho. Reminds me of the Golf course on Black Ops.

They are hangin by bushes in the middle but there is room for to get behind them.

a lot of tight corners and narrow paths. there isn't an open area like hazard from black ops. an mk14 might not be the best gun.

chief, put the ump down. you use it a lot but your stats are a .73kd and 11% accuracy. when you hit level 74 swap it out for the mp7. it has no recoil and you can burst fire and kill from long range. i guarantee you'll do better with it. if you prestige use a token on it.

i gotta work on getting more tags. i don't know if i should run higher kill streaks or just use specialist.

Or they do the base thing where they stay in one general area trying to pick folk off walking back and forth. Or they hide behind stuff till they get their kill streak up and then try to come out once they get choppers and stuff going. I peep what's happening but I get incredibly impatient and run out like RAAAAHHHH!! lol. I'm about to start trying some new weapons cuz I'm getting far too many assists and not enough kills.

pp90 w/rapid fire: destroys everything close range, owns tight spaces but not at range

p90 silenced w/range or silencer + rapidfire: great run and gun, good iron sights, and you can get 3-4 kills w/o a reload

mp7 w/silencer + ext mags: best gun in the game, it's SMG mobility w/AR range, good on any map

i switch classes all the time mid game. i usually start w/my mp7 specialist class and rush at the start to see if i can get a moab. if i don't get a big streak or die 2-4 times i go mp7 or scar and 5-7-9 assault class. if that fails i try acr w/4-5-7 assault. gotta adapt to the enemy. if your classes are the same you can't dig yourself out of a hole.

one thing i do to get more tags, is when I see an predator missile come through, sprint to it and pick up all the tags from its destruction.. weather its killed or denied tags, it helps the team (and your score) at one point i had more confirms than kills, just by being aware of what is going on around me..

I use specialist sometimes, but its kinda selfish since it doesn't really help the team much.. definitely gives you a lot of XP though..

i get more tags w/specialist since i'm getting the kills up close. with assualt if i'm 1 kill away from a reaper and there's a tag in the distance i can't risk it. if the chopper or reaper kills them in their spawn the tags are denied. it's more selfish. i don't know what role to play.

i can use specialist and level every perk at the same time. the xp from specialist ranks you up 2-3 times faster than assault.

i can do well with any gun so losing them is nothing.

only downside is if you're not prestiging all the way it's pointless. you can't stop at 2nd prestige.

and i don't wanna level the shotguns again.

I have every weapon and perk I want unlocked. So now I get to save this token for double xp when I get to level 70.

And get 4x XP!!!

I been rocking the tri burst since the first MW. on MW1 the M16 was the best gun in the game imo. Shit was lethal. 3 bursts at the most from sniper distance. 2 bursts from close range. Accurate as shit too.

On MW2 they took down the accuracy a bit, but it was still as powerful. But people started to catch on. Towards the end of the games run EVERYONE was using it. But the Famas was the star of that game. Way better accuracy than the M16. Slightly less powerful only from long range. Plus the rate of fire was better than the M16.

Black Ops turned the M16's power down, but improved the accuracy back to MW1 levels. So it was still a good gun. They fucked the Famas up by making it automatic but they introduced the G11. HOLY SHIT! Mufuckas called me cheap for using it. But fuck it. I been rocking the tri bursts for so long I was owed a gun like that. Shit was like a tri burst sniper rifle. Best gun EVER!

Now we get to MW3 and the M16 has been nerfed to shit. The power is waaaaaaaaaay down. Accuracy still good. Rate of fire is waaaaaaay down. The rate of fire is so slow now that rarely do all 3 bullets ever hit your target. Unless the target is stationary. If your target is moving. Which 90% of the time it is you might only get them with 1 bullet from each burst. But the good people at IW did give us the Type 95. With a red dot and tri burst shit is a nightmare from medium range. Its a little under powered from sniper range though. I find myself having to hit snipers 5 or 6 times to kill them. Which definitely puts me at risk if I am playing peek a boo with a sniper. But now I got the MK14 mastered. That shit is RIDICULOUS! 3 shots from sniper range. 2 shots from anywhere else on the math. Its a beautiful thing. It just sucks from close range.

I like the MK14 with red dot and impact. Surprisingly my accuracy has gone up since I started using it. But on the smaller maps I still use the Type 95.

scan the horizon and look for something glowing. Shit is awful. Its right up there with a baby monitor.

I don't know what it is, but I aim better without it.

but on this one I need it. The iron sights are shit on the two guns I use.

the shit that made me say yes is when I play with the MK14 the difference from when I have it on impact and attachment is crazy. Impact upper body they go down, without it it takes three and sometimes four

it felt clunky and the audio is really bad. I do love those maps though.

BO feels better because you can move freely. how far can you run in mw3 w/o bumping into some random object or a teammate?

last time i played BO the hit detection was better then mw3. i knew if i shot first i got the kill 90% of time. mw3 it's 50/50 and wildly inconsistent. it's nowhere near mw2.

another thing i hate is splitting sleight of hand into 2 perks. i'm not using quickdraw over hardline and that hurts the gun on gun action. i gotta slow down to ADS and use cover more. there's no more endless sprints or lightweight so it feels slow as hell w/smg's. rushing and flanking is not a viable tactic in mw3.

also I prefer having a claymore and some grenades. I don't know maybe I have to play it a little more cause I am so used to MW3.

I have to really crank up the volume in MW3 for some reason.

you could control the music, voice, and fx.

i got a surround sound headphone amp and BO is more immersive. footsteps were easier to pinpoint.

even when people have the silent footsteps which is wild. It'll have this slight swishing sound.

the guns all have deeper more realistic sounds. You can really tell the difference when you hear someone firing rounds off in the distance.

the tinny sound of some explosions like napalm strikes for instance. Other than that it sounds so much louder and immersive in surround to me. I think overall the sound effects aren't as loud in MW2, but they still sound good.

I hate that map so much if its voted i'll leave the lobby. Too much camping and hiding. Dome and Arkaden i'll usually bullshit around with the shotgun on those boards bc I didnt give a fuck. My k/d would probably be at least two if I didnt fuck with that and the riot shield.

on my weaker maps Underground and Carbon. I hate them so much I dont even try. I complain the whole game and get killed.

Support: ALWAYS use hardline and run low not high. a stealth bomber takes too long to get for a few kills. run uav/counter/vests, just uav/counter, or even just uav. we'll all get more kills that way.

Assault: if you can't hit 4-5-7 consistently go 3-4-5.

when the game is tight slow down and don't chase them. let's get a lead or some air support and then go back to rushing.

use martydom. me and chief got double killed by that trying to get a tag.

we tend to lose/struggle on hardhat, mission, arkaden, & bootleg.

hardhat: we lost 65-25. stay out of the tunnel. even if you get a kill you'll die going for the tag. take the other two paths. that middle area is a death trap so don't run in solo if they're camping. nade that area before running in.

the maps were big enough so you had the option to flank or rush. mw3's maps take away the strategy.

when the game starts i notice you take an odd route. on village if they spawn at the cave i cross the bridge on the far right and pick up 1-3 kills on the enemies rushing the other bridge. a good start usually means a good game. i get most of my kills in the same spots. half of the game is positioning.

get your accuracy up. try a 3 sensitivity and use kick.

I still haven't figured my strategy for it but there are some decent spots on it.

accuracy plays a huge part in it. When my aim is off. I lose and my k/d suffers. When my accuracy is on shit is over. All of my killing is done from long range. My worst maps are the smaller close combat ones. I have been playing the same way since the first MW.

I only have 3 classes. 1 is my MK14. I have focus and a red dot. My perks are scavenger, hardline, and marksman. Marksman is the key to my success. It helps me identify targets from a longer range. A lot of times I only see a red name on the screen. Cant even see the actual person. So I just aim for the middle of the name and shoot a little below it. You have no idea how many kills I get like this. On fallen I take snipers out through trees. On mission I take the camping snipers out on the hill because I can see their names. Snipers dont have a chance against me with my MK14 and marksman. I can adjust my aim faster then they can looking through the scope. My other class is my Type 95. Its the exact same as the MK14. Then I have a class with blind eye pro, and assassin pro to take out vehicles.

Now for how I play. I dont like running with the packs. I am always watching radar. I go the opposite way of my team for a couple of reasons. Because of my long range style of play if the area's get to congested it gets harder to get kills. Also I dont want those shitty n00bs to get me killed. The green guys always do shit to fuck you up. Whether its laying prone in a door way. Or letting guys sneak up behind you. I dont trust them. The last reason is by going against the pack I am more likely to encounter people one on one, or catch a group from behind.

Kill streaks. I use assault and rolls with UAV(3), predator missile(5), and chopper(7). I dont like streaks where I have to wait for a crate to drop or one that takes to many kills to get. Sure the AC130 is nice. But at 14 kills I might only get it once every 5 games probably less. With hardline pro I am calling in like 6 UAV's a game. At least 1 chopper and missile.

Stick to the outside edges of the map, NEVER run through the middle. It's so much easier to defend a 180 degree view than a full 360. I always roll w/blind eye + assassin, so i stay away from teammates who aren't as much as possible. It's so aggravating to die by a predator missile because the dude without blind eye chose to stand in the same corner as me. Sometimes, which i hate to admit, I do bait teammates. If i'm headed in a certain direction along with someone else, I'll hang back a bit, let him go out first and clean up if something pops off. If you see your team in a shootout in a certain area on the map, loop around, sneak up on the enemy's backside and clean up while they're distracted

Another big thing to reduce unnecessary deaths is to always prone or crouch behind cover whenever you reload or recover health. Don't leave until you're done, and when you finish, throw a flash or stun grenade first before you jump out. ( I also do this when i round blind corners or enter buildings, unless the radar shows clear)

And when you spot an enemy, DO NOT SHOOT unless you KNOW you can get the kill. Shooting and missing only to have him turn right back around and kill you sucks, majorly.

yeah, i lone wolf. my team's on the left, the enemy's on the right so that's where i'm going. i get right in people's faces and catch them sprinting or when they aren't ready to return fire. my game is based on timing and checking for spawn flips. know the spawns.

i always use blind eye. i always use hardline w/assault.

i use a lot of guns. ar's, smg's, or shotties. the gun determines where i attack on each map.

striker:
-seatown: stay in the alleyways
-lockdown: stay indoors

i use predator, attack heli, reaper/ah6 overwatch. i only use uav w/shotties.

I usually do this with non party members. My normal party members know I do this and dont fall for it anymore. But yeah when someone decides they want to follow me around. I just let him hit all corners first. Watch where the bullets come from and clean up.

Also I just remember is learn the main fighting zones. each map has a few different areas where all the fighting takes place. Learn where the cover is. Be cautious when going through those area's. There are usually people camping just outside of those area's. Waiting for people running to get a piece of the action.
