GT4, and now GT5 have been utterly unimpressive additions to the lineup. they've completely failed the litmus test for features one expects in a racing game in this or even in a previous era.

they are no longer fun to play, they haven't improved in key areas, and the most highly touted features are only in place for small parts of the game.
