They used it in Final Fight Online (which IMO was more of a test run thing).
but if you read anything re: the upcoming 3SOnline cats is like "GGPO! GGPO! GGPO! GGPO!!!" when they're not going "ARCADE PORT ONLY! ARCADE PORT ONLY!"
the netcode on SFIV isn't as bad as most fighters I've seen though; one of the most notorious was Tekken 6 before the patch. TvC (though probably being on the Wii has something to do with it), has some bullshit netcode (and player-match system for that matter). More options to restrict "shit" ping connections should have been up.
