let alone some fuckin Varrens. AT LEAST MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE VARRENS ARE WEARING BODY ARMOR.
Also, I've never understood how shields block biotic powers. That's fucking horse shit. Shields aren't biotic barriers, they are only designed to block high speed projectile fire. Shields ain't supposed to dampen mass effect fields, fuck that.
