But it goes down with 1 Stinger hit. If you have a teammate also equipped with a Stinger, you can take it down. Be prepared to die 2 or 3 times trying, though. AC130 only stays out for about 30 seconds, so it's pretty much best to just get inside a building and wait it out.

Chopper Gunner, on the other hand...wooooof. You gotta take that bitch down, or watch your team get decimated.

Otherwise, UAVs are easy pickings, when you find them. Regular attack choppers and enemy harriers? LOL. I ROUTINELY take them down before they fire off a single shot, which might be the most satisfying feeling in this game. I have the Stinger on every class, and I just refuse ot let the other team get air support.
