I was really trying to showcase Nelson, but ended up giving you the lead.

Playing you yesterday helped.

I actually made a concerted effort to go to Boozer about half way through the season. Some games it worked great (especially when jumpers weren't falling). Other times it didn't. So when we played yesterday, I really couldn't get anything going with him. And Okur's post moves aren't as extensive as Boozers. Doesn't matter tho.

devron and boozer going hard is a migrane and a half. Williams is so fucking quick and can make layups over waaaaay taller defenders plus shoot the 3 so you have to pay hella attention to him. once you start paying attention to both of them the defense is fractured. I try to do that with stuckey since he's the playmaker on my team and when he's doing that and hitting with wallace doing what he does it's a done deal.

you'd have to compare Nelson to Stuckey to get the difference and stuckey is a BY FAR better on the ball defender with his size and strength. I play Piston's ball and don't go for individual stats since I can spread the ball around. No matter what you say Nelson didn't fit into my line up the same way that having bitch ass A.I. on the bench didn't either. I like having someone to backup hamilton and add more D to one of the best defensive teams in our league plus he can drive hard and finish at the basket.

nelson was too small for my type of basketball & with my team's amount of guards it was pointless. I needed a bigger player who could play swingman and cover for both hamilton and prince and got him with brewer. I'm happy and you and the midget are happy too. end of story.

nelson is not better than alston.

you NEED jameer, I don't. having zaza pachulia is far better than having jameer and marvin williams is good for depth

As you can see (from when I played you), the shots just aren't falling. I played a hell of a game against NY, but I was down for most of that game and it slipped away in the last few minutes. New Orleans was more of the same...guys just aren't knocking shots down. It's especially frustrating when I'm seeing the EXACT same shots fall for my opponents...oh well...I lost a few games in earlier rounds that I shouldn't have lost and shouldn't be in this position anyways. We're going to finish strong though.

Contested three-pointers going in and offensive rebounds by Lee/ Anderson were ridiculously off the charts. It was a very good game though, just hella stressful. lol

Gallinari is like 6 10" so its not problem for him to shoot over someone.. and the fact that his 3pt rating is over 90 means its going to go in pretty often... only thing is he's got a really late release, if his release was super quick like Arenas, he'd be even more deadly..

Anderson cant make a shot from too feet away.. he SUCKS in that respect.. but he will dunk it on your head if hes close enough.. tip in's will happen too.. LEEbounds is the king of that shit.. if we draft next season, im gonna make sure i got Lee on my team..

I like putting him on SG's sometimes (did wonders with Ben Gordon), especially in THIS case with Roy. But then Aldridge was killin' me with that Abdul-Jabbar, and I was strugglin'. Nothing was working on him. And the computer messed up my defensive matchups so I had to manually put guys in their place. PLUS, even though it didn't look like Oden did much looking at the box score, dude is a presence defensively.

Deron hit some key shots for me. Especially that 3 after you stole the inbounds pass to take the two point lead. Both him, Boozer and AK-47 are my favorite players to use.

Both rounds are gonna be tough for any of the west teams. I had this prediction story ready for the Round 6 post, but in a rush to get the round started I just put up the power rankings. All that changed 4 games in to Round 6, so now I need to revise my thoughts. But there's ONE prediction that's going to remain the same. Nobody is going to want to play the Lakers come playoff time. I realized that after the drubbing I got yesterday. He may have took a few more lumps this season compared to the last two, but I wouldn't doubt dude. Especially the way he uses Ariza.

I can always use him on the defensive end, and honestly, I probably don't need him to score, but he seems like his game is regressing towards the end of the season. Weird. Maybe I'm ignoring him or some shit like that. I even debated starting Prybilla in his place. But I didn't want to break his spirit.

In a paint dominated league I had to trade Rondo to have a shot in the end. Both of my guards have to be able to nail open jumpers.

LOQuent - probably the greatest GM of all time since the invention of GMs plus he was able to rid the team of the cancer called A.I. then use his replacement to trade up for Brewer. Amazing. He was also able to hold his head against a slew of team 2k attacks on his talent, to which he should get the Nobel Peace Prize.

me either man. Damn Galinari was making it rain on my ass all game, and I had to fight to get back in it. Then against you, I don't know what the hell was going on. I had to take the starters out because it was pointless...Then the NOH game...was more of the same, I was down, came back and it slipped away in the last few minutes. We got our mojo back against ORL and ATL...now I'm thinking about all of those close games that I blew...

Oh and that Marion deal was right on time. He's not as explosive as he was on 2k8, but he is definitely still functional. He has a weird jumpshot, but once you get it down, he is butta from deep. I can play him at the 4 too, which gives me a decent backup for Tyrus.

as much as my competitive nature wants me to be in the playoffs ,and that I honestly believe I SHOULD be in the playoffs, the inconsitancy of this version of the Pistons pisses me the fuck off. I'm willing to wait until 2k10 so I can start with a team that I can feel is more balanced.

I think that 2k fucked the Pistons this go 'round since teams that didn't even make the playoffs fair better and are more consistent.

Man it was a close game in the first half. It was tough because Barbosa was lights out with 22 first half points. Then Iggy started up in the second half. It was a two punch combination I couldn't handle. They overwhelmed me.

The Cavs game was closer because all the Cavs had was LBJ. He scored like 37 but everyone else played like mere mortals, giving me a shot at winning. I was actually up 3 or 4 with 1:40 to play. But when you play using the Cavs, all you gotta do is give the ball to LBJ and let him dunk. Or throw oops from the 3pt line. And then you will win everytime.

You always say you are at a disadvantage when it comes to picking teams because of the time difference, so I let you get the Pistons and decided to roll with the Wizards. I did alright with them in the tourney we had back in April so I was thinking I could run with them in the season. Nope. They suck! The biggest issue with them is that they never rebounded. I would see so many rebounds be sucked away into the other team's hands. I turned the rebounding slider all the way up under coaching AND I would emphasize "rebounding" EVERY chance I got during timeouts. It never helped with these guys. Granted, I'm far from the best at this game, but I do think the team you have does have a lot to do with it. Wizards...never again.

because of the time difference i was notified and was one of the first people to get a team.

My problem with the Piston's this year was though we underachieved in real life they dropped their offense and defense below even teams that didn't make the playoffs, which is bullshit. They also dropped individual stats on players like Hamilton so dude was missing open ass jumpshots (which won't happen). I know it's going to be a struggle this year but hopefully they are a little more fair at the 2k office with the ratings system because I've watch bullshit ass bench players go off on other teams but I missed a million wide open layups with Prince!

Playing with the Wizards this season was a frustrating experience that allowed me to notice the exploits and the ridiculous ratings for players 2K gives out. They make superstars way too good. It seems like the the game is only fun if you play with a "top" team or the two teams are *very* evenly matched.
