There has been a lot of talk about a Playstation 3 price cut lately. But Microsoft’s Chris Lewis has said that if Sony decides to do announce something along these lines, Microsoft won’t be phased and this won’t affect their current plans.

“We are in a good place in terms of the value we offer,” Lewis told MCV.

“We have a plan and a rhythm we are marching to – and we won’t be knocked off that cadence in terms of what the opposition might do.”

And also, another rumor floating about is that Sony might announce a Slim model of their console next week at Gamescom. But another scenario is that Microsoft might decide to implement a price drop of their own. It looks like we’re just going to have to sit tight for a week and see how this all plays out.
