That being said, I like how the scheduling is set up now. With the round by round setup, you always have a point where everyone is on the same plane record and statistically wise (every 5 games). Plus, if you have the option to just play whoever, people will end up playing someone 3 times in one sitting. I like the idea that you play someone and then circle that date on your calendar to play them again later on. Teams grow as the season progresses. The Celtics in round one are different than the Celtics in round 3, understand? Both games are going to be different. You lose that with an open schedule.
