1.Super Turbo. The Original. gameplay, speed, music, all top-notch here and its the one that started it all. Initially they upgraded the fighting engines and combos and all that. But this is a preferance for me.

2.Alpha 3 had the widest character sets but the choppy gameplay and attempt to make it more like King of Fighters was a bit too much for me as far as the looks and the feel of the game. My opinion they didnt need to do that because initially King of Fighters was trying to be Street Fighter

3.Third Strike- Wasnt into this as much as the others. But parrying is something they should bring back when they release the upgraded version of 4.

4.SF4- too early too say. but so far its up there. Well see how this goes once the nostalgia factor wears off and see if im just as into this 4 months from now. But the game play is clean once you get used to it.

0nly problem is. If Capcom insists on giving these characters back stories. They need to do a better job linking them all up. I guess the endings and the cut scenes are supposed to all tie together. But if you havnt been an avid player of some of the alphas. Its easy to get lost in the story. Otherwise whats wrong with two guys fighting 1 guy wins and advances onto the tournament.

Also in 4. The graphics are great. But the background designs need some work. Its the World warrior tournament. Why are you fighting in places like a storage garage, under a bridge with a bunch of kids watching. or on a Boat. The levels are so random. We need more backgrounds like outside Old vegas (Golden Nugget) casino in front of crowds. Or Vega's steel cage. Nitpicking and dont effect gameplay. But it would be nice.
