Off the top of my head, the last boss in Wrath of the Black Manta. Totally ruined what at the time was a great game, at least for me. For starters, dude looked like he was a jukebox/half-human hybrid. Didn't make any sense. And supposedly, you had to do an exact order of the ninja magic tricks to beat him. If you didn't do the ninja magic tricks right, you were killed automatically. Pretty wonky last battle.

That fight was actually pretty tight on Extreme.

Now that Fortune fight was 360 degrees of Bullshit.

Fontaine was lameness and way too easy. His monologue after he got his ass whooped made it worse.

once you figure out his weaknesses, it was just bombs away, and his attacks were easy enough to avoid

is that you have sooooo much ammo before that fight. When I fought Big Daddies (esp. in the beginning of the game) I had to be like "damn, I only got xx amount of electric ammo, 20 regular shotgun rounds, and then my machine gun". At the end of the game you could fire your guns for like half an hour straight and still have ammo for another gun.

But you're wrong about them being wack. I love the bosses, even though they're too easy. They're always really spectacular and over the top I get well excited. I remember all the bosses from Ocarina of Time like yesterday, the music change, the panning shots, and the name appearing. Cinematic.

I just got to that part of the game last night.

and replay it fresh.

Just doing the marathon things before the new game drops.

It's interesting though, seeing all the subtle clues that Octopus and Master Miller drop, that we all probably missed the first time around.

The one where he's robbing a bank, and you come in and this dude powers up three power bars! You're like, "OH SHIT, IT'S A TRAP!"

Then you hit him once and all three bars drain. LOL I love that part.

And he was in a convenience store.

Especially when it seems like it would have been cool

I never beat his shapeshifting ass. I always mauled the first form with my desert eagle, but then I ran out of ammo once he shifted forms and could never kill him.

So basically never beat the game.

That game had the worst enemies.

The Jecht fight was classic.

That chase scene was probably the only thing I didn't like about MGS3

in the Training Mission section of Crisis Core. I made like 10 levels and got all my equipped materia up to master status but it took TWO HOURS OF THE SAME FUCKING SHIT. It wasn't even hard, just insanely fucked up and tedious.

God, Demyx may have been the hardest boss in Kingdom Hearts 2. I had real problems with that mission.

Xigbar was also fukken hard because you basically can't use any melee attakcs on him

Now she was hyped up to be the 'Beast of Beasts'....and that turns out to be the hands-down easiest and simplest fight of the four. All you have to do is shoot the two puppets and then proceed to murk her EASILY by firing one of the puppets at her and yanking on the strings....cmon now, far too easy.

The whole story mode is on freakin' "SNK Boss" mode on Normal Difficulty.

Team Ninja be on that BS sometimes.

the Scarecrow sequences... HATE!

that's kinda sorta a boss battle.

which irritates the fuck out of me.

The real bitch parts were the Bane and Bane-Lite bastards they kept pitting you against.

Add to the fact that your AI-controlled characters for some reason don't revive dead party members, it can get frustrating as hell, so you gotta pray that the boss don't use certain moves. Win/lose sometimes really depend on your luck.

With that said, it feels pretty damn good when you've finally beaten the boss who you've had five gameovers on. RPGs with a challenge is always good.

Hated that damn thing....but in fairness, a lot of the floors below the bosses prepared you for the boss of those floors.

It was quite the humbling experience when I first challenged it, had to go back and grind for levels.
