I don't need any crazy art programs. I plan to use this to mostly go online, watch movies and write. At the moment anyway.

What do you think.
132531, RE: well I'm an aspiring copywriter.
Posted by el_sequndo, Tue Jan-08-08 08:52 PM
for starters get yourself VLC to watch those movies
132533, since u are a writer, if u need to look at documents from different computers
Posted by exactopposite, Tue Jan-08-08 09:05 PM
u can use open office and the google document extension for it. makes it easy to sync documents with google documents so u can accress them from other machines if u need to.

this is the WORST time to buy a mac...before Macworld.
I'm waiting til after the Stevenote to cop.

Posted by 13Rose, Thu Jan-10-08 10:00 AM
none of those updates for the macbook will trump getting it for 25% off. Which is something I couldn't do past Dec. 31st 2007. I'm checking it in the win box.

132860, Are there any good controllers for intel macs?
Posted by 13Rose, Thu Jan-10-08 10:07 AM
I love to play emulators and now that I have a up to date machine would like to get my NBA JAM on. All I see are these damn flight simulator joysticks. Help me people.

Side question, if / when I install XP can I then use my PC controllers?
132885, do you have an xbox or playstation controller lying around?
Posted by Wonderl33t, Thu Jan-10-08 01:10 PM
if so, get on ebay and buy a USB converter for around $5. Then pay another $5 for USB overdrive software, or the Xbox HID control panel if it's an xbox controller.

Plus I was playing lego star wars with this 10 year old controller I had around. Just plugged it in and osx had the drivers. Have you tried trying to use the controllers, you might not have to install XP?
132976, PS3 support....oh the fucks yeah!
