"automatically update album art and media information" even though I had it set to only replace missing information (I *like* the album art). It's kind of messed up if I have to choose between having the album covers and having it sort properly.

I have to tell you that I totally don't understand you on the Windows Media Explorers thing.

Also, all of my cds were ripped using the creative technology and they were all tagged to my satisfaction. And they were all imported as is from my hard drive.
