Hey, i haven't use any but read somewhere that firewire 800 is faster then esata......
better try your hands at firewire800 :)

but the cable has to be pretty short (2m) i think. the only thing that esata isn't faster than is SCSI (which is 2600 or so while esata hovers around 2400). the advantage of it is that esata is basically a passthrough to your internal sata port. imagine you connecting your external HDs through IDE. similar but esata can actually benefit from it. i tried it on one of those new freeagent seagate drives for a 3 gig file and it FLEW.
