I loot every person I kill for their gun just to see if its a better modified version of what I have. Head shot does wonders with most. I found a Deadeye and a modified Coachman from a side mission and now hunting for parts to modify them.

Load screens are pretty quick on my PC. On my series X they arent that bad either. But still too many

So it wasnt just me. These menus are frustrating. Hopping from place to place should not be this cumbersome

My best loot are from side missions from (as you said) rando bases on moons or finding abandoned facilities taken over my pirates and killing their leader.
