i wouldn't have chosen that term but i guess it kind of applies.
he isn't *technically* breaking rules but that's only because of oversights and a lack of clarity in the rules. it's so uncommon that usually the league or the PR department of the team intercedes to solve it and that's it. i can think of several examples from sheed to mike vernon where the team has applied some pressure and made the problem go away. we'll see what happens here as right now they have his back; the league might have to act on this. it is a dangerous trend, if "next question" becomes widely practiced then media availability will cease to exist.

just after Game 2, he said he his play was unacceptable and he had to be better...how does that get reported if he isn't talking to media? He talks to every media person on the court that grabs him after a game. There's hella video of him talking in scrums and pressers...this year. I find that his general attitude in this situation is "I don't need this" even though it is part of his job and not really that serious or difficult.
I don't like when people are annoyed at having to perform the basic tasks of their jobs.
I don't like bartenders who are annoyed because you are ordering a drink on a busy night or when they are having a bad day. That's the fucking job.

That shit is wild and unacceptable. Compared with even 20 years ago, let alone 50, access is much more limited and more controlled now. Now athletes and their obsequious, overprotective handlers are going to get away with this? No. There are a ton of non-answers in news conferences and locker room scrums. You learn how to deal with that (rephrasing, working around, etc) but to just be able to not answer a simple question? That's totally inimical to the dynamic between players, journalists and consumers of both their products.
