"NBA PLAYOFFS - PISTONS @ BUCKS"

blake being full go could have made this slightly interesting, but he's not

With healthy Reggie, now is the time to find out if Drummond is at least progressing towards elite. he was unreal the last 20-30 games, but hes either:

a) 2x default all star in year 7
b) 25 year old big man capable of carrying a team on his shoulders

thats the most interesting subplot to me, followed by the future implications of bruce brown's efficacy vs giannis. in the "right now" id reeeeeeeally rather have stanley (and reggie bullock tho he may come back)

Bucks in 5

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE

Casey making him a Point-Power Forward worked out, well. He can do so much. Sucks.

he can do. Drummond has reached his ceiling in this environment, if they are keeping him, he is going to be what he is now. Reggie Jackson is a great backup point guard. I felt like they were more effective when Ish Smith was on the floor. So go with Ish, Kennard, Thon, Drummond and one more body for the rest of the series and run Jackson and a couple of more dudes off the bench.

>he can do. Drummond has reached his ceiling in this
>environment, if they are keeping him, he is going to be what
>he is now.

Drummond is constantly adding. His shooting is actively improving, and his passing remains an underused asset. The issue is Casey letting him do everything he CAN do. Im sure it looks like hes plateaued when Casey is asking him to be the guy he was 3 years ago.

>Reggie Jackson is a great backup point guard. I
>felt like they were more effective when Ish Smith was on the

I can promise you that Reggie is so much better than Ish that this is a nonstarter. They do NEED Ish, but the on/off record with Reggie speaks for itself, as does his 2nd half of the year.

>So go with Ish, Kennard, Thon, Drummond and one more
>body for the rest of the series and run Jackson and a couple
>of more dudes off the bench.

Thon maker had 2 fouls in 90 seconds. Who is he supposed to guard?

The real issue is the fact that Ed Stefanski felt like he needed to "put his stamp" on the team. Put Stanley on Giannis and Reggie Bullock on Middleton, and this whole shit looks different (mostly because we wouldnt be the 8) He got fleeced for Bullock, and Stanley isnt good enough to be a fleecing but he would be a hell of a lot more effective than Bruce Brown.

Alllllllll of this can be traced back to cutting SVG before his deal was up. Stupid then, no better in retrospect.

I can agree with this, but he isn't going to be an outside shooter. His best would be developing into an old school post up center.

Blake as the point forward initiating the offense is the best point on the team. Reggie playing off the ball in that setup looked good...but as the man yesterday...he looked like the same mf'er that got SVG canned.

Look at yall roster....who else gonna guard Giannis? Jose Calderon? Thon has handles, a serviceable jumper and a motor. Coach him up a bit and see what he can do.

i agree. and he wants that. but they dont run action for it

it is, when Blake is there. But Reggie and Andre already PnR'd their way to the playoffs once before. SVG got canned because Reggie wasnt out there. When he was, they won a LOT of games. But they had Stanley Johnson, KCP, Tobias Harris, and Marcus Morris around them. Without Blake and Reggie Bullock on the floor, all those players netted ZERO return. Last night they had Thon, Bruce Brown, Wayne Ellington, and Luke Kennard. One decent catch and shoot player, zero elite defenders, zero capable offensive rebounders, and one good young offensive player. This looked nothing like healthy Reggie under Stan.

>Look at yall roster....who else gonna guard Giannis? Jose
>Calderon? Thon has handles, a serviceable jumper and a motor.
>Coach him up a bit and see what he can do.

whatever he can do, he cant do it this year. the only way to win is playing small at this point. play Glenn Robinson across from Giannis and hope for the best. and then maybe play Kennard instead of Langston fucking Galloway. ive been bitching about Galloway, his play, and his contract for two years now...dude is gonna be the death of me.

>This is all water under the bridge homey...breathe through it.

i aint a Knicks fan bruh. im not desensitized to losing.

Should be able to trade Reggie who has an expiring contract. Maybe a handful of teams will give Drummond a look. The sooner the better..
