Not in terms of pure shot volume. You're right that he shot way less than Young (though supporting cast talent likely helps). I just meant, in transition, yeah, he's a monster on the drive, but in the halfcourt all year, he'd launch off the bounce, launch from too far, launch with a man in his face, etc. Granted, sometimes he'd be cooking and they'd be landing, but on days when they wouldn't (like the Virginia game, two of the Duke games, the Auburn game, etc), he was essentially turning the ball over with those shots, not unlike Young's less impressive games.
I have no doubt that if Coby was on that Oklahoma team, Coby would've mustered Trae's shot volume, lol.
(Though it's also worth noting, re: Trae's gunning, that Trae last year led the country in assist rate by a *lot.* He just literally had to do everything on every offensive possession. Carsen Edwards doesn't sniff that assist rate, functioning as more of a 2 guard/pure volume scorer in that respect. Trae was, to compare with players from this year, Markus Howard with Ja Morant passing. Which is nuts.)
