tough to go out at this point but that was one of those back-and-forth tournament games. I could moan about the FT shooting, but both teams missed a combined 31 freebies so it was just bad all-around.
props to Admiral Schofield and Kyle Alexander. Alexander, especially, has been in a bad stretch since the calendar turned and it was nice to see him go out with his best performance in months.
both those guys signed up to play for the Donnie Tyndall purgatory experience, and persevered to lead two of the most fun years in recent UT basketball memory.

This was the least reliant on the 3 they've been since 2013, the second least in Beilein's entire tenure at Michigan. They were very middle-of-the-pack by Division 1 standards in that regard.
In fact, Ohio State was comparably reliant on the 3 this year-- 40.1% of OSU's field goal attempts were 3s compared to 39.9% of Michigan's. And in Michigan's loss last night, they shot below their normal rate of three-point attempts.

I know he's a Texas guy, and he may just stay, but fuck it. Make him a Top 10, maybe Top 5 salary guy right away. He's the type of guy who, if you get him to stay, can lead your program to winning seasons for the next 20 years.
